Privacy Statement

 

ALP psychology highly values the careful handling of your data. Therefore, this privacy statement.

 

Your file

The law requires psychologists to create a file. This file contains information that is necessary to provide good care. The law obliges us to keep the files for 15 years. 

 

Your rights

As a client, you have the right to inspect or obtain a copy of the information contained in your file. If you find any factual inaccuracies in the file, you can ask us to correct or supplement this information. If you do not agree with the information contained in the file, you can ask us to add your own statement (your opinion) to the file. You also have the right to ask us to destroy (parts of) your file. For all rights, we will, in principle, accept your request. Only if we believe that the interests of others, such as your partner or children, will be harmed can we (partially) reject your request.

 

Secrecy

As psychologists, we have a duty of confidentiality. This means that we only speak about you or your child to others with your explicit consent. Only in special cases does the law give us the right to provide information without your consent. In such cases, as a rule, we will first contact you to discuss this information with you.
